Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms, the following definitions apply:
- "IMP" / "the Platform" / "we" / "us"
- Refers to the Instructional Materials Portal, operated at instructionalmaterials.com.ng.
- "User" / "you"
- Any individual or entity accessing or using the IMP platform, whether registered or unregistered.
- "Materials"
- All instructional resources available on the platform including lesson notes, schemes of work, past questions, teaching aids, PowerPoint slides, and other educational content.
- "Account"
- A registered user profile created on IMP, which grants access to download and manage materials.
- "Purchase" / "Download"
- The act of acquiring access to a specific material on IMP, whether through payment or as a free resource.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, browsing, or using any part of the Instructional Materials Portal, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our platform. Continued use of IMP after any modification to these terms constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
IMP reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. We recommend reviewing this page periodically to stay informed of any changes.
User Eligibility
To register for an account and use IMP's services, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- You must be at least 16 years of age.
- You must provide accurate, complete, and current registration information.
- You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
- You must not have previously been suspended or removed from IMP for violating our terms.
IMP is intended primarily for educators, student teachers, and educational professionals. We reserve the right to deny, suspend, or terminate accounts at our discretion, particularly where there is evidence of misuse or misrepresentation.
Permitted & Prohibited Use
What You Are Permitted to Do
- Browse the materials library without creating an account.
- Create a free account to access downloads.
- Download purchased or free materials for your own personal classroom and educational use.
- Use downloaded materials to prepare lesson plans, teach students, or reference in academic work.
- Print physical copies of downloaded materials for personal classroom use.
What You Are NOT Permitted to Do
- Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit any material downloaded from IMP.
- Share your account credentials with third parties.
- Upload downloaded materials to other websites, platforms, or file-sharing services.
- Modify, adapt, or create derivative works from our materials without explicit written permission.
- Use any automated scraping, bots, or data harvesting tools on IMP.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or its systems.
- Use IMP for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable Nigerian law.
Violation of these terms — especially unauthorised redistribution of paid materials — may result in immediate account termination and potential legal action.
Payment Terms
Pricing
Material prices are displayed in Nigerian Naira (₦) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes. IMP reserves the right to change prices at any time. Price changes will not affect purchases already completed.
Payment Processing
All payments are processed securely by Paystack, a Central Bank of Nigeria licensed payment gateway. IMP does not store, access, or retain your card or bank details. By initiating a payment, you agree to Paystack's terms of service.
One-Time Purchase Model
IMP operates on a one-time purchase model. There are no subscriptions or recurring charges unless explicitly stated otherwise. Each payment grants lifetime access to the specific material within your IMP account.
Refund Policy
Due to the instant digital delivery nature of our products, all sales are final. Refunds will only be considered in the following circumstances:
- Payment was successfully debited but no download access was granted.
- The same material was accidentally purchased twice by the same user.
- A material was found to be substantially different from its description.
Refund requests must be submitted within 48 hours of purchase to support@instructionalmaterials.com.ng.
All transactions are secured with 256-bit SSL encryption. Your financial security is our top priority.
Intellectual Property
All content on IMP — including but not limited to materials, text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and software — is the property of IMP or its content contributors and is protected by applicable Nigerian and international copyright laws.
Licence Granted to Users
Upon purchasing or downloading a material, IMP grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, personal licence to use that material for educational purposes only. This licence does not constitute a transfer of ownership.
User-Generated Content
If you are an approved content contributor on IMP, by uploading materials you grant IMP a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute your content on the platform.
Downloading a material does not grant you copyright ownership. You may not claim authorship or commercial rights over any material obtained from IMP.
Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
No Guarantee of Results
While we strive to provide accurate, curriculum-aligned materials, IMP does not guarantee that any material will produce specific educational outcomes or results. The effectiveness of teaching resources depends on many factors outside our control.
Platform Availability
IMP is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free access to the platform. Scheduled maintenance and unforeseen downtime may occur.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, IMP shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform or the materials therein.
Our total liability to any user for any claim arising from use of IMP shall not exceed the amount paid by that user for the specific material giving rise to the claim.
Privacy Policy
What Data We Collect
When you register or use IMP, we collect the following information:
- Account Information: Full name, email address, and phone number.
- Usage Data: Materials viewed, downloaded, and searched for.
- Transaction Data: Payment references and download history (not card details).
- Technical Data: IP address, browser type, and device information for security purposes.
How We Use Your Data
- To provide and maintain your account and access to materials.
- To process and verify payments and downloads.
- To send account-related communications (e.g. OTP codes, receipts).
- To improve platform functionality and user experience.
- To detect and prevent fraud or unauthorised access.

IMP does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We share data only with:
- Paystack — for payment processing (governed by Paystack's own privacy policy).
- Law enforcement or regulatory bodies — where required by Nigerian law.
Data Retention
